Christie's has the best Ice cream around! It's my favorite icecream spot in all the world.

Love this place! I've been going here for years and I still love it to this day. It's got a very special vibe to it, very chill, relaxed and cozy. The workers are all extremely kind, and the icecream and other food tastes one of a kind! I come here year round, and always have an excellent experience. Highly recommend!

If you go to the website it advertises what it does not sell!! It's quiet code on their board they don't even make! Employee very sweet and helpful!

After coming here ever since the place opened it is time to say I will giving my business to the Starbucks down the street. I have always ordered the same thing and it seems like for the past month every time I go in there, it's a different barista, not only that but it also seems that every barista has "their own way of making drinks." Every time the drink was inconsistent. What really ticked me off was I was walking down to the train and took a sip of my latte, only to get my tongue scorched by almost boiling water, instead of the usual steamed milk. This is not the only time, my daughter also has had her tongue scorched by extremely hot water when steamed milk should've been used. Some say communication to the barista should happen, yet I think everyone knows steamed milk belongs in lattes and cappuccinos and not hot water.

Horrible, out of bagels, pastry was like a hockey puck, coffee was ok, pricey

Great ice cream

Good ice cream with many flavors (my friend’s favorite is Spumoni, a mix of pistachio and cherry and a bunch of other flavors that don’t sound like they should work, but they do). They also recently started serving rolled ice cream with flavors such as taro, Oreos, matcha, and different fruits.In addition, I have been told to mention that bubble tea is also arriving soon with unique flavours.Occasionally features talented local musicians to create a chill atmosphere.

Clean, welcoming and modern. You feel the comfort and warm of home. Not your typical boring corporate owned stores. I strongly recommend it for family and friends.

2 younger girls working. Neither knew anything about coffee. I got an espresso and she was going to pour milk in it. The espresso tasted like sludge...I should have returned it.

Coffee had very bitter taste. "Peppermint" latte was chocolate only. Advertised "Deerfield " bake goods were simply a couple of cake donuts and three muffins. What a dud of a place.

Nice coffee shop! Service was wonderful! Close to train station and in the heart of the downtown Palatine. Being from the best quality coffee country producer I expect a lot and usually rather do my own coffee. (I Totally dislike Starbucks!) But this place was amazing! I totally recommended

The bi-monthly open mics are lots of fun. Maria does a great job running them. And the ice cream is excellent!

Quaint little ice cream shop friendly people night relaxed atmosphere

A really great space, but the pastry case was pretty low just before lunch on a Saturday, when they're open until 8Pm. I think they could do a lot more, but it'll only get better if people frequent the place, so give it a try! The waffles were Amazing!

Nice little coffee shop. Had a good variety of ice cream, coffee, and waffles. Very relaxed atmosphere and right near the Metra stop. Prices were pretty good too. Nice to have a latte and not have to pay $5.00 for a small. I'll definitely come back and tell friends about it.

The staff member was very friendly and helpful. The overstuffed cherry turnover warmed up was delicious! He also made a wonderful recommendation for a cashew milk latte with honey lavender. Positively delightful.

I came in late on a Monday night but the service was still good and the girl offered to have me try before I bought. Nice place with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor.

1st time there for ice cream Only FairOrdered an Oreo Sunday, spoon basket was empty, no spoons were available, young lady went into back room came back approx (1min) offered me a fork. 1 min dosent seem like a long time, howeverthe icecream sunday was turning into a liquid mess. Then I a metal spoon, which I gladly accepted.Another 1min in vack room. $7 for a liquid sunday! Don't think I'll be back. Good Luck if this how you run your business YOU ARE GOING TO NEED IT.

We went to christies to grab a cup of latte, however to my disappoinment when i received the latte it tasted like watered down milk with minimal taste of expresso. The shop is at a very nice location and has a welcoming vibe. Hopefully this was just an isolated event and they improve their quality!

My family and I have been living in downtown palatine for 18 years, and we always stop at Christies especially in the summer. The coffee is excellent as well.

Amazing coffee place with an incredible atmosphere

I was there with my family on Tuesday evening 6/5. We'd been there several times previously and my daughter wanted to go for her birthday. My wife and I both ordered the "nuttin better" chocolate ice cream but neither of us ate it because it was so soft and odd in texture it just wasn't good. It was clear something had gone wrong, like it had thawed and refrozen several times and was half-thawed when we received it. We went back to the girl working that evening and explained the issue and her immediate response was that it had been in the freezer all day and that's just the way it was. As if serving bad ice cream was just what they do. She clearly had no intent to offer a different flavor, so she lost customers over a a couple scoops of ice cream. We won't be back. There are plenty of other places to go. I wondered if the store has new owners because I can't imagine the woman who opened it several years ago having that approach to customer service.

Coffee was good. Better quality than I expected. Ice cream, bowls, and service were lack-luster. Also took a long time to checkout because there were a lot of people and only 1 girl working in the whole place. They also allow solicitors to come in and ask for money...really uncomfortable.

Tasty beverages, and wonderful looking desserts. The baked goods case is small, but everything in it has been quite tasty. We're very picky about our chai teas, and there are several options available here, and they aren't afraid to go heavy on the spice if you ask. Regular coffee is also on point.

I was visiting Paletine and this quickly became my favorite spot! The owner is so kind. The coffee is great. And it's located in a cool area right by the train. Make this your coffee spot.

Pleasant service. But the cappuccino I ordered pretty much tasted like regular coffee with frothed milk. And too much milk for a cappuccino. Didn't try any food items or hang around but it looked like it might be an ok place to stop for a coffee and pastry to get out of the cold for a while or as meeting point

Came here for the unicorn hot chocolate and it did not disappoint. It had a lot of sweet toppings on it, but surprisingly wasn't that sweet when you drink it. If you enjoy Instagramming your food, definitely get the Unicorn Hot Chocolate.

This coffee/ice cream shop is great! Everything tastes wonderful. You can even get some pretty looking treats for dogs. The owner is very nice, friendly lady. The shop is located next to the Palatine train station. Very convenient!

Now THIS is a 5 star place! I was greeted very warmly by barista Elise, who made great conversation. Sat here for a few hours to do work but had the chance to learn about the founder (her custom coffee flavor created at Metropolis) and different types of espressos and roasts. I had a simple mocha but whatever brands/flavors they use went so well together that it was the best Mocha I've had ANYWHERE! Very personable experience. Tried an almond croissant which was well baked and almost magical. I also was served a free cup of coffee, which didn't disappoint and didn't have that commercial Starbucks/Seattle Coffee flavor. Tried a sample of the lemon cheesecake ice cream on my way out and it was nothing but creamy and full of flavor!!! I 100% recommend Christies -- I will be coming again, even though it's 15 minutes out of my way!
